As an employee of the Department of Housing and Residence Life, Resident Assistants (RAs) contribute to the mission of Lander University through community building in the residence halls. RAs support Lander University and the Department of Housing and Residence Life by engaging students through personal contact, community events, and connecting them to campus resources. RAs emphasize academic engagement, interpersonal skills, wellness, and inclusiveness in their communities. Responsibilities encompass both student development, administrative, and operational functions. In order to perform effectively as a Resident Assistant, RAs agree and adhere to the duties, expectations, and requirements as outlined by the department.
