Orientation Leaders

We are currently hiring Orientation Leaders. Please review the process below and if you have any questions, please contact orientation@lander.edu.

Student Leader staff work for the Office of Orientation Programs. The following qualifications are applicable to all vacant positions.

Qualifications

Lead the Charge: Run cool icebreakers, team-building activities, and discussions to help new students bond and feel welcome.
Be the Expert: Show them around campus, explain all the awesome things our university has to offer, and answer their burning questions.
Support and Energize: Offer guidance, encouragement, and support to new students throughout their first days at Lander University.
Team Up: Work alongside other OLs and staff to create a fun, memorable orientation experience.
Have Fun! This job is all about enthusiasm—bring your energy, creativity, and school spirit!
Applicants must maintain at least a 2.8 GPA or higher from hiring until the end of contract term.
Applicants must be a current Lander student with at least 12 full-time hours.

Application Process

All interested applicants (both new and returning) are expected to:

Complete an Application
- Applications open: February 18
- Applications close: February 26 at 8:00 a.m.
Attend and participate in a Group Activity Session
- Group Activity Sessions are February 26, 3-4 p.m. and February 27, 3-4 p.m.
Attend and participate in an Individual Interview Session
- Individual Interviews will be conducted beginning February 26 and closing February 28
If an applicant does not attend both group and individual interview sessions, the applicant will be removed from the process.
