Jump start your college education
Dual enrollment allows high school juniors and seniors to earn high school and college credit at the same time. Eligible high school students can take 6 credit hours (2 courses) at Lander each semester (Fall and Spring). Tuition is FREE and students only pay for books and course-related fees, if applicable. Students must meet Lander University enrollment requirements. Simply follow the steps outlined below in the Admissions Checklist.
Admissions Checklist
- Apply to Lander as a non-degree seeking student
- Dual Enrollment students are required to submit a new application every academic year that they plan to enroll in Dual Enrollment courses
- Submit an official high school transcript to the Lander University Office of Admissions
- Must be a high school junior or senior
- Must have a minimum weighted GPA of 3.25
- Submit immunization records and student health form
- Dual Enrollment students taking courses on Lander’s campus must submit a copy of their immunization records
- Submit Dual Enrollment Request Form
- Dual Enrollment Request Form must be completed for each semester a student plans to enroll in courses
- Form must be signed by student, parent/guardian, and high school counselor/administrative official

- Schedule a meeting with the Director of Dual Enrollment
- Attend Summer Orientation

About Dual Enrollment
Lander’s Dual Enrollment courses are:
- Dual Enrollment is available to all qualifying (3.25+ GPA) Juniors and Seniors who reside in the State of South Carolina
- Eligible high school juniors and seniors can take up to 6 credit hours (2 courses) at Lander per semester (Fall and Spring) tuition free
- Additional hours may be taken for $100 per credit hour (books and course-related fees still apply)
- Transferable to colleges throughout S.C.
Some exceptions may apply. Contact Lander Admissions with questions about course transferability or visit the South Carolina Transfer and Articulation Center (SCTRAC) website - Taught by Lander’s own experienced professors
- Courses are available in a traditional (On-Campus setting) and Online Format
- Designed to accelerate a student’s path to a chosen major upon acceptance to college

Students may participate in the below general education courses (based on availability). These courses are offered at a variety of times, days of the week, and many are available online (check Search for Courses for availability). Your high school counselor or administrator may approve additional courses. Always confirm high school graduation requirements with your high school counselor or administrator.
