School Counselor Luncheons

Each year, we invite our School Counselors to a complimentary lunch at Lander or in their area to thank them for their outstanding work and to update them on all the new, exciting things happening at Lander. We hope that all the counselors at your school can join us this year. More details to follow.

Junior Fellows

Each year, Lander asks School Counselors from each high school in South Carolina to nominate outstanding high school juniors for the Junior Fellows award from Lander University.

To be considered for this award, nominees should:

  • rank in the top 20 percent of their junior class, and
  • have at least a 3.5 grade point average, and
  • exemplify leadership in both academics and co-curricular activities

School Counselors will need to complete the Junior Fellows Nomination Form by March 1.

Group Tours

We would love to help you facilitate bringing a group of your students to visit our campus. For group tours, we prioritize high schools and can accommodate groups of up to 50. We will try and tailor your visit at your request. Most group tours include an admissions presentation with one of our admissions counselors and a walking tour from one of our presidential ambassadors.

If you would like to speak to someone about group tours, please contact the Group Tour Coordinator at kcalliham@lander.edu.

On The Road

Lander University takes pride in our effort to visit every high school in the state of South Carolina, as well as many out-of-state, at some point each school year. Each area is assigned an Admissions Counselor who travels there exclusively so that personal connections can be made.
