Capital Projects

Our enrollment isn’t the only thing that has experienced growth in recent years at Lander University. We’re also growing our campus footprint to offer world-class facilities for our students, faculty and staff. These updates to campus will enhance the academic and student life experience for our Lander University community.

All of Lander’s capital projects are contracted in strict accordance with the South Carolina Procurement Code for Design and Construction. For procurement questions, please contact procurement@lander.edu.

Federal funds were also received to supply the new facility with the most advanced technology in nursing clinical education.

To address the growing need for additional space on Lander’s core campus, Lander purchased the former Bank of America building in Uptown Greenwood, which adds an additional 18,000+ square feet of multipurpose space for the University community. This space will allow the University to shift some administrative offices away from core campus to accommodate the need for more academic space.

Jackson LibraryRenovating Jackson Library into Academic Space

Upon completion of the new library building at Lander, the existing Jackson Library will be converted into additional classroom and laboratory space. When the state legislature awarded funds to construct the University’s forthcoming information commons, lawmakers also included funding for the renovation of Jackson Library.
