The Office of Safety and Compliance exists to create a safe and healthful workplace for the employees and students of Lander University as well as the patrons and visitors of the campus.
The specific mission of this office is to ensure compliance with OSHA, the South Carolina Fire Marshal's Office, DHEC and other regulatory agencies. This is accomplished through an intensive inspection program, corrective actions, and employee training. Emergency Response Team
The Lander University Campus Emergency Response Team (CERT) was created to assist the University in recovering from natural and man-made disasters in the absence of professional emergency responders.
The CERT is available as a resource to professional emergency responders in the event of a major emergency situation on campus and to assist Greenwood County Emergency Preparedness in the event of a disaster in Greenwood County.
The Lander University Campus Emergency Response Team is comprised of volunteers from many areas on campus and includes administrators, faculty and staff. The team is open to all employees and students.
