Gamma Phi Beta’s mission is to build confident women of character who celebrate sisterhood and make a difference in the world around us. We continue to inspire the highest type of womanhood by upholding our values, engaging with Lander’s campus community, and striving for excellence in the classroom.
Gamma Phi Beta’s international philanthropy is Building Strong Girls. We partner with Girls on the Run International. Girls on the Run helps unlock the limitless potential of girls across North America! Girls learn life skills, such as communication skills, building positive peer relationships, and making healthy choices. Gamma Phi Beta sisters serve as coaches for local schools, running buddies, cheerleaders, and volunteers at the Girls on the Run 5Ks, held each May and November. We also raise money for Girls on the Run through percent nights, carnation sales, and our annual Moonball volleyball tournament.
Additionally, Zeta Eta sisters enjoy serving the Greenwood community by volunteering at events held at Wesley Commons and donating items for various campus food drives. Each semester, we also collect items and pack bags for the Greenville Period Project, which provides feminine supplies for women and girls in need.
