Graduate Financial Aid

Your investment in and your commitment to your graduate education do not have to overwhelm you with a large financial burden. Assistance for your educational costs is available from many different sources. This aid includes university-funded assistantships, institutional scholarships, and federal assistance.

Individuals may receive only one Lander graduate scholarship. Students who have accepted Graduate Assistantship positions are not eligible for Lander graduate scholarships.

 

 

Lander University Second Master’s Degree Scholarship

Students who have earned a master’s degree from Lander University and wish to seek a second master’s degree may receive a scholarship equivalent to the full cost of tuition for the final two courses of the second master’s degree. 

To be eligible for the LU Second Master’s Degree Scholarship, students must:

  • Have earned their 1st master’s degree from Lander.
  • Be in good standing with the university and have no financial holds on their account.
  • Complete the application before the start of their final two courses (not at the start of the program).

Lander University MBA Scholarships

Lander University offers 2 scholarship opportunities for students in the MBA program. Individuals may receive only one of these scholarships, not both. Scholarships may be renewed for (1) additional year.

 

Lander MBA Scholarship

  • Awards up to $2,000 to individuals based on need.
  • Must complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
  • Must complete the scholarship application

 

Lander MBA Alumni Scholarship
  • Awards up to $1,000 to individuals who are Lander alumni.
  • Must complete the scholarship application

Applying for Financial Aid

  1. Complete the FAFSA at studentaid.gov. The FAFSA opens on October 1 each year. Be sure to reapply each year.
  2. Apply for institutional scholarships/grants.
  3. Apply for foundation scholarships at academicworks.com.
  4. Research & apply for graduate assistantship at Graduate Assistantship.
  5. Research and apply for outside scholarships. Sallie Mae offers a great Graduate School Scholarship Search  with free access to over 950,000 graduate scholarships.
  6. Review student loan options at Federal Student Loans.
  7. If using loans, complete the MPN at Master Promissory Note & Entrance Counseling at Entrance Counseling.
  8. You may complete a Federal Graduate PLUS Loan or a Private Education Loan if there are other costs in addition to tuition and fees.

 

Reminder:  You are required to submit to the admissions office your final official undergraduate transcript, as well as any final official transcripts from graduate level work.
