Lander University’s Public Health program is designed to prepare graduates to support communities and populations in promoting health, preventing disease and managing illness and disabilities. A bachelor of science degree in public health gives you the knowledge and skills necessary to understand and work on a wide range of issues in a variety of industries and fields.

In our public health program, students will learn to address health from a biological, psychological, social cultural, environmental and spiritual perspective. They will learn how occupational, residential and recreational environments influence health outcomes. Students will learn how public health professionals investigate conditions and develop interventions and programs. Students will discover their interests and passions through coursework that considers the theory and history of public health; explores the science behind the spread and control of disease; environmental impacts on human health; role of policy and data in transforming health of populations; and ways diet and exercise shape our lives and our health.
