Lander offers a political science major with a public administration concentration for students interested in careers with in local, state or federal government, or with nonprofit organizations.
The concentration will also prepare students to pursue the Master's Degree in Public Administration (MPA), the professional degree for government and nonprofit administration. Alumni have studied for their MPA at American University, Appalachian State University, Clemson University, University of Georgia, University of South Carolina and others. They work as city or county managers, economic development specialists or as government professionals.
Internships with government agencies and nonprofit organizations are key to this curriculum.
