The B.Des. curriculum gives you opportunities for internships and client-based projects to model professional practices and techniques which gives our graduates an edge in the professional workforce.

What our B.Des. looks like:

  • After admission to the University, B.Des. students begin foundation studies in design in their freshman year;
  • Following their successful completion, students take sophomore design classes to learn and practice foundational content in design;
  • At the conclusion of the freshman year, students undergo the B.Des. Freshman Review to assure their professional development meets our program’s elevated standards;
  • Juniors and seniors take a variety of advanced classes in graphic and interactive design;
  • Students must meet minimum progress requirements at each level;
  • In their senior year, students develop a capstone experience resulting in finalizing their Design Portfolio and the senior show.
