Section 59-101-350 of the South Carolina Code of Laws states that the Commission on Higher Education (CHE) is responsible for collecting student scores on professional examinations from institutions of higher education. Information required included: state and national means, passing scores and pass rates, as available, and with information on such scores over time, and the number of students taking each exam. This information is to be included in their annual report to the General Assembly, and is used by CHE to make funding recommendations based on success factors.
