Employment Application Policy for Staff Positions

Please review the following information before applying for employment.

  1. To access the job portal, go to careers.sc.gov. A completed State application on NEO-GOV is required for consideration of employment. Resumes may be attached.

  3. We offer an “Application Kiosk” located in The Office of Human Resources lobby during normal business hours to assist applicants who may not have computer access. If you require accommodation with our online application service, please call (864) 388-8310 or email jpartlow@lander.edu.
  4. Applications are only accepted for current job vacancies. The Office of Human Resources does not keep applications and/or resumés on file for future vacancies.

Directions

We are located at 511 Willson Street, Greenwood.

From the main Lander entrance on Calhoun Avenue:

  • Turn onto Crews Street. (Located between the two fountains.)
  • Go straight thru the first four way stop.
  • At the second four way stop take a left onto Willson Street.
  • Go approximately 0.3 miles and our office will be on your left.

Please note: Parking is limited in our driveway, if you are coming in to fill out an application or meeting with a staff member we request that you park in the lot behind our office.

To get to the lot: drive past the house and turn left onto Felder Street. Take an immediate left and keep left to get to the parking lot straight ahead.

FAQs

Once a job closes, the hiring supervisor/hiring committee receives the applications for review. They determine who is awarded an interview. The hiring supervisor will then contact those applicants to set up interview times. Depending on the position, a test, individual, or panel interview may be conducted.
After the hiring supervisor has selected a candidate, Human Resources completes a background check, then the Classification and Compensation Manager approves the compensation rate. Then the supervisor will contact the candidate to make an offer.
