CommUniversity Brings Lander Students and Greenwood Organizations Together

Almost 70 businesses and organizations from around the Greenwood community visited Lander University’s campus on Tuesday, Sept. 15, for the annual CommUniversity event, bringing treats, games and opportunities with them. Whether inviting students to volunteer with them, visit their business or worship with them, community members were excited to meet the current group of Bearcats. Katie Littleton, a coordinator of campus engagement, said the most important part of the event is for students to realize that Greenwood is a community full of people who care about them, where there is a lot to get involved in. Another benefit, Littleton said, is for students to get involved as volunteers and potential future employees for businesses and organizations. Students who get involved during college are set up to be successful once they graduate, she said.
