Lander’s College of Science and Mathematics Celebrates Student Achievement at Awards Ceremony

In the College of Science and Mathematics, students are busy doing.

Whether they’re working closely with their faculty mentors to complete undergraduate research projects; preparing for their next chapter in graduate school or medical school; or on the road presenting at regional and national scientific conferences, Lander students are given unique opportunities that far exceed what students might find at other institutions. And, as a result, Lander students stand out among their peers when applying for jobs, or for their graduate school of choice.

That commitment to academic excellence, undergraduate research and student leadership was at the heart of the college’s recent academic awards ceremony, held Thursday, April 9, in Lander’s Abney Cultural Center Auditorium. There, each of the college’s departments paid recognition to students who have excelled in their studies over the past academic year.
