Lander University’s annual Give Day set a new milestone, raising more than $108,000 and marking the most successful Give Day in the University’s history.
The record-breaking total reflects strong participation and generosity from Lander’s alumni, friends, faculty, staff and supporters who came together to support scholarships, academic programs, athletics and student experiences across campus.
“Surpassing $108,000 on Give Day is a powerful testament to the generosity and belief our alumni, friends and supporters have in Lander University,” said Taylor Cook, vice president for advancement. “This record-setting day reflects a community that is deeply invested in our students and in the future of Lander. Every gift directly contributes to our students’ success and is an investment in their future.”
Give Day provides an opportunity for donors to support areas of the University that matter most to them, while collectively strengthening Lander’s ability to serve its students and the region, he said.
The University broke giving records, as well, among the number of donors and number of gifts they contributed. The 313 donors, representing 30 states, gave 336 gifts that will play an important role in advancing the institution’s mission.
“These gifts strengthen the high-quality academic programs that prepare our students for meaningful careers,” said Lander President Richard Cosentino. “Through their donations to Lander, our supporters are helping ensure that graduates leave with the knowledge, skills and hands-on experiences they need to succeed in today’s workforce and make a positive impact in their professions and communities.”
University leaders expressed gratitude to all donors. “This achievement belongs to our entire Lander family,” Cook said. “It demonstrates what we can accomplish when we come together with a shared commitment to provide an affordable and accessible college education and a broad spectrum of opportunities for our students.”
