Lander Joins Statewide Coalition to Assist Veterans

Brent DelgadoThe Office of Military and Veterans Services at Lander University has announced that it has joined the South Carolina Veterans Coalition to help expand services offered to veterans, service members and their families across the state.

The coalition, overseen by the South Carolina Department of Veterans’ Affairs, connects these populations with services including housing, employment, education, mental health services, benefits navigation and family support.

Through an online portal, the South Carolina Veterans Coalition links veterans and military families to local organizations, state agencies and federal programs that meet their individual needs. The coalition seeks to ensure that, regardless of where an individual may live or how they first seek help, they will have access to the resources needed.

“The South Carolina Veterans Coalition is a definitive game-changer for our veterans and service members, and their families,” said Brent Delgado, director of the Office of Military and Veterans Services at Lander. “When we coordinate our efforts, we honor our veterans with more than just words—we honor them with results.”
