In honor of the 20-year relationship between Lander University and its prime study abroad location, the University of Winchester in the United Kingdom, we want to look back at all our adventures in Winchester, the traveling students and the wonderful professors that make the magic happen.
“There is something about study at Winchester that is intrinsically attractive to Lander students,” said Dr. Carlos Mentley, professor of Spanish, and former director of Lander's Office of Study Abroad. “It may be the university campus setting, on a hillside overlooking the city. It may be the city itself, steeped in history but modern and comfortable as well. I believe, however, that it is the students’ realization—even before they come home—that they are experiencing a unique time of independence and personal growth that would never have been possible if not for Winchester.”
