The Provost and University Tenure and Promotions Committee at Lander University have announced the decision to promote and/or grant tenure to outstanding members of the Lander University faculty for the upcoming 2020/21 academic year. Tenure and promotions are awarded to those members of faculty who have demonstrated themselves to be effective professors, skilled researchers and valued members of the University community.
Promoted to the rank of Professor, with tenure, is Dr. James Romaine, of the Department of Art.
Promoted to the rank of Associate Professor, with tenure, are Dr. James Anderson, of the Department of English and Foreign Languages; and Dr. Diana Delach, of the Department of Physical Sciences.
Promoted to the rank of Assistant Professor, with tenure, is Ms. Rachel Coats, of the William Preston Turner School of Nursing.
Promoted to the rank of Associate Librarian is Ms. April Akins, of the Jackson Library.
Promoted to Senior Instructor are Ms. Ann Butler, of the Department of Biology; Ms. Melissa Scott, of the Department of Biology; and Ms. Elisabeth Zimmerman, of the Department of Biology.
Promoted to Senior Lecturer are Ms. Amy Blackwood, of the Department of Music; Ms. Lauren Corbitt, of the Department of English and Foreign Languages; Ms. Brittany Cuenin, of the Department of English and Foreign Languages; Mr. Jeffrey Hollifield, of the Department of Physical Sciences; Ms. Carrie Lucas, of the Department of Physical Education and Exercise Science; Ms. Kathryn McLaughlin-Rojas, of the Department of English and Foreign Languages; Mr. Tom Neal, of the Department of Mass Communications and Media Studies; Ms. Kim Spangler, of the Department of Physical Education and Exercise Science; and Ms. Kelly Young, of the Department of Mathematics and Computing.
