Lander to Hold Adjunct Faculty Networking and Hiring Fair

If you have a passion for developing minds and shaping the future, you are encouraged to attend a special networking and hiring fair for adjunct faculty positions at Lander University.

Hosted by the university's Office of Academic Affairs, the event will take place Monday, May 14, from 5-7 p.m. in the Grier Student Center.

Lander's part-time adjunct faculty positions are established on a semester basis to meet academic needs for freshmen- and sophomore-level courses. Adjunct position schedules vary to include days, evenings, weekends and online classes. This event is intended to connect qualified adjunct applicants with departmental representatives.

Most positions require a minimum of 18 hours of master's-level coursework in the discipline (except as indicated below). A master's degree in the discipline with college-level teaching experience is preferred. Qualified applicants for the following areas are encouraged to attend and bring a copy of their current CV for review:

  • Biology
  • Biology Lab (minimum: bachelor's degree in biology)
  • Chemistry
  • Chemistry Lab (minimum: bachelor's degree in chemistry)
  • Computer Science
  • Criminology
  • English
  • Geography
  • Mathematics
  • Medical Surgical Clinicals (minimum: bachelor's degree in nursing, plus two years of experience as a Registered Nurse)
  • Psychology
  • Sociology
  • Spanish
  • Sports Management
