Local Students Take Home Gold, Silver at Psychology Convention

Senior psychology majors Mel Bussard of Chapin and Dallas S. Thompson of Blythewood were awarded for their presentations during the undergraduate poster session of the South Carolina Psychological Association Annual Convention.

Mel Bussard won first place for his presentation, "Is Religion a Source of Comfort or Concern Regarding Death Anxiety," while Dallas S. Thompson took home second place for her presentation, "Death, Love, and Politics: Effects of Mortality Salience and Political Agreement on Romantic Commitment."

Also presenting from Lander were students Tiffany Gray of Simpsonville, Christina Franklin of Greenwood, and Meshelle Wright of Elgin.
