Former Greenwood County Sheriff Giles Daniel and 20 other veterans were inducted into the Greenwood County Hall of Heroes during a Sunday, Sept. 20, ceremony at Lander University.
Former South Carolina Lt. Gov. Bob Peeler, the guest speaker, thanked Daniel and the other honorees for the sacrifices they made "to protect a nation that has given them and us so much."
