Lander University's Wellness Center celebrated the conclusion of its Everyday Challenge with a 5K (3.1 mile) walk/run around campus on Tuesday, April 21. Approximately 440 Lander students, faculty and staff signed up for the event. The participants were showered with handfuls of multicolored dyed cornstarch at checkpoints along the route.

"The Everyday Challenge is a holistic approach to health and wellness, and provides our students with programs for nutrition, exercise and stress management," said Rachel Griggs, registered nurse in Lander's Wellness Center.

James Cunning, of West Columbia, came in first during the Run or Dye 5K, while Mylea McKenith, of Morrisville, NC, finished second.

Clayton Bell, of Greer, and Lynnsey Jamison, of Brunswick, Ga., were winners of the overall Everyday Challenge. They earned the most participation points by visiting the fitness center more than other participants.
