Renowned American folk artist and South Carolina native Jim Shore will appear at the grand opening of an exhibition featuring his works at the Monsanto Gallery at Lander University on Thursday evening, Sept. 4, from 5 to 7 p.m.
The exhibit features over 800 of Shore's original drawings from the last 20 years, including his signature Santa and angel designs, a selection of his collaborative work with Disney, and over 300 figural pieces from his personal archive. It is the largest selection Shore's work ever assembled, an opportunity for visitors to see the scope of his artistic vision and the dynamic creative process that moves from line drawing design to three dimensional sculpture
The exhibit is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays now through October 29.
