Lander Sculpture Students Exhibit Work

Andrew CattertonLander University student Andrew Catterton, of Greenwood, stands beside "Accumulation," one of five sculptures that Assistant Professor of Art Doug McAbee's advanced sculpture students created and installed on campus in conjunction with the "Go Outside" exhibition of sculpture. McAbee said he was pleased with the quality of his students' work. "They're good sculptures, and I'm very excited about having these spots approved for long-term temporary exhibits. This is the first time Lander has ever had the opportunity to host an outdoor exhibit like this, and I'm thrilled." The sculptures join two others installed during Lander's "Sculpture Deathmatch II: War of the Welds," an event in which two teams of sculptors competed to design, create and install sculptures in a single day.
