Presidential Search Committee Hires Executive Search Firm

Lander University's Presidential Search Committee has hired the executive search firm of Coleman Lew + Associates, of Charlotte, N.C., to assist in the selection of the university's next chief executive officer, succeeding President Daniel Ball.

Ball, the 12th president in Lander's 142-year history, has served for 15 years. In March, he informed the university's Board of Trustees that he intends to retire, effective June 30, 2015.

Coleman Lew + Associates has more than 30 years of experience recruiting candidates for senior-level executive positions in a variety of fields, including education and public, private, nonprofit and international companies and organizations.

George Starnes, vice chair of Lander's Board of Trustees, chairs the 12-member Presidential Search Committee. When it completes its work, the committee will submit a list of applications to the Board of Trustees, which will conduct the next phase of the selection process.
