Lander University visual arts major Whitney Price, a junior from Pendleton, displays her untitled photograph, which won the best in show award at the 1st Annual Lander Student Showcase Exhibit. The winning work, as well as work by the 27 other visual arts students who participated in the event, will be on display through March 8 at Meridian Gallery in Uptown Greenwood. Price and honorable mention award winners Haley Floyd, Anne Beaudette, Mariano Robla and Jessica Bass will represent the Lander art department at the 2013 Student Academic Showcase, held each spring at Lander, and will be honored for their accomplishments at the SAS awards ceremony, 7 p.m. March 21.
