Lander University Business Students Receive McMullin, Moss and Scales Scholarships

2012-dba-schol-moss-mcmullin-scales-TN.jpgLander University business students Ruth Tenney, of Clemson, Samuel Poutignat, of Bordeaux, France, and Brandon Felder, of Blackville, have received scholarships from the university's Department of Business Administration. Tenney is the recipient of the Moss Family Scholarship, which was established in 2003 in honor of Samuel M. Moss, Lander Class of 1973. The scholarship is awarded to rising junior or senior business majors who express interest in small business or entrepreneurial opportunities. Poutignat is the recipient of the Leo McMullin Scholarship, which was established in 1998 by Dr. Leo F. McMullin, professor emeritus of business at Lander. The scholarship is awarded to an upper-division student majoring in business administration. Felder is the recipient of the Thomas N. Scales Scholarship in Health Care Management. Established in 1999 by family and friends in memory of Thomas N. Scales, a dedicated hospital, mental health and nursing home administrator, the scholarship is awarded to health care management majors who demonstrate potential for creative, caring leadership in the health care field.
