University Welcomes Nearly 200 New Students

Student_Orientation-TN.jpgA few days before Lander University opened its doors for the spring semester on Jan. 9, students and members of their families gathered on campus for the university's orientation program for new students. President Daniel Ball led the list of speakers who welcomed 193 new students, including 57 who transferred from other schools and 19 first-time freshmen. Speakers provided them with information on various topics related to their status as Lander students. The daylong orientation also included stops to complete the registration process, finalize class schedules, meet with faculty advisers, buy books, talk with housing representatives, and obtain Lander ID cards and parking stickers. Classes began on Jan. 9.
