Lander University Business Students Receive Dunlap Scholarships

Dunlap business scholarship winnersTwo Lander University business administration majors have been selected to receive the R. Thornwell Dunlap Jr. Scholarship. The scholarship was established in 1997 in honor of Dunlap, who served as president of The Lander Foundation from 1993-1996. A member of numerous civic, health care and church organizations, Dunlap served as president and CEO of Countybank and chairman of the bank board of directors. The Dunlap scholarship is awarded to Greenwood County residents majoring in business administration, and recipients are selected based on criteria including character, academic record and recommendation by high school or college teachers. Pictured, from left, are Dr. Mike Shurden, chair of Lander's Department of Business Administration, and scholarship recipients Ryan Kalinoski, of Ninety Six, a business administration major with marketing/management emphasis, and Stephen Graves, of Greenwood, a business administration major with health care management emphasis.
