Seven Lander University Students Earn Who's Who Recognition

The names of seven Lander University students will be included in the 2010 edition of Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges, recognizing their selection as outstanding campus leaders.

The students were chosen based on their academic achievements, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success.

Lander students selected include:
Morgan Layne of Greenwood, a senior in Lander's William Preston Turner Department of Nursing.
Beth Caskey of Columbia, a senior majoring in business administration.
Zack Freeman of Starr, a senior whose major is sociology.
Michelle Johnson of Buffalo, S.C., a senior elementary education major.
Aunnika Hilton of Chester, a senior majoring in mass communication and theatre.
Wesley Owings of Mountville who is majoring in special education with elementary certification. He is a junior.
Emily Jeffcoat of St. Matthews, a senior exercise science major.

The seven Lander students join an elite group of students from more than 1,900 institutions of higher education in all 50 states and the District of Columbia who were selected for inclusion in the 2010 Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.
