STEP 1: Complete Your Housing Application

1. Log in to your Lander email. Watch this First Time Sign In Video for detailed instructions.
   • Update your password.
   • Set up two-factor authentication. 
2. Log in to MyLander. Watch the MyLander Navigation video for instructions.
3. Click on the Housing Portal under Student Highlights.
4. Select Application for your selected term, follow the instructions.

STEP 2: Register for Orientation

Visit Lander’s Orientation Programs page to view and choose your preferred orientation date. All incoming students are required to attend an orientation program, which is designed to ease your transition into college life.

STEP 3: Register for Accepted Student Day

All first-time freshmen accepted students are invited to a fun-filled day at Lander University, where you’ll receive valuable information on academic and student life, as well as important campus offices. 

To register, log in to the Application Portal.

STEP 4: Pack Your Popup Bearcat!

Be sure to keep an eye out for additional information from Lander, and get ready for an extraordinary academic experience! We can’t to see you in Bearcat Country!

STEP 1: Apply for Financial Aid

• Complete your FAFSA at studentaid.gov.  Lander’s FAFSA code is 003435. 
• The 2023-2024 FAFSA is open for the Spring 2024 semester.
• The 2024-2025 FAFSA opens in December.  Lander's priority deadline for the Fall 2024 semester is January 31. Check your status regularly and submit any document/verification requests as soon as possible.

STEP 2: Apply for Scholarships

The Lander Foundation offers scholarships to new students. Students must complete the application. The application is open from October 1 until June 1.

Transfer students are automatically considered for Lander Transfer scholarships. 

STEP 3: Advisement & Registration

Once registration opens for new students, your schedule will be built and emailed to you along with your major program information.

STEP 1: Log in to your Lander email for the first time.

1. Visit https://passwordreset.microsoftonline.com/.
2. Enter Lander email address listed above and enter the characters. Click Next.
3. Choose “I forgot my password.” Click Next.
4. Select an option, enter correct phone number. Click Text or Call.  If no phone number is listed, email provided will be used.
5. Enter your new password and re-enter to verify (password must contain at least 10 characters, one uppercase and one lowercase letter, and one number).
6. Visit lander.edu. Sign in with Lander email address and new password.
7. Next follow the prompts to set up Multi Factor Authentication (MFA).
