ESSO Bug Night
Come join ESSO for an engaging experience in identifying night-time bugs on Lander University's campus! We plan to use UV lights to attract the attention of local night-time insects! Students will learn to use the iNaturalist app to catalog and identify the species of bug they find throughout the night. This presents students with the opportunity to engage with citizen conservation science with the same tools as real conservationists. Alongside observation, we plan to roast marshmallows over the fire pit!
This event is coordinated by ESSO and the Office of Campus Engagement for students of Lander University and is not open to the general public.
