This talk is a consideration of how Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s call for a "radical revolution of values" is complicated by the production and circulation of value in capitalist society, both in King's time and in our own.
Andrew J. Douglas is a professor of political science at Morehouse College. His most recent books are W. E. B. Du Bois and the Critique of the Competitive Society (2019) and, with Jared Loggins, Prophet of Discontent: Martin Luther King Jr. and the Critique of Racial Capitalism (2021).
