Senior Recital - Mary Ashlynne Lawson

The community is invited to join the Senior Music Recital by MaryAshlynne Lawson. The recital will be held Thursday, October 09, at 7 pm, in the Abney Cultural Center Auditorium at Lander University. The recital features select works by Mozart, Bononcini, and Handel.

From an early age, MaryAshlynne Lawson has had a deep love for music and song. Singing was an integral part of her childhood and deciding to pursue a career in sharing the joy of music with children became the driving force behind her majoring in Music Education. After graduation, MaryAshlynne hopes to pursue a career in teaching music on the elementary level. This recital's theme can be summarized as the songs of life. Through life, everyone suffers loss, feels love, and secures a bit of faith to make it through to the end. It is MaryAshlynne's wish that these songs close the gap between people and remind everyone that we are all human.
