Holocaust Remembrance Day

With rising anti-Semitism across the United States, Holocaust education is very important.

A program to mark Holocaust Remembrance Day will be held on Thursday, Jan. 26, from 3:30-4:45pm in Learning Center room 300

Dr. Clifford C. Cain, Harrod-C.S. Lewis Professor of Religious Studies Emeritus at Westminster College of Missouri, will give a talk entitled “To Remember and Respond.”  A time for Q&A follows the talk.

Mike Parson to serve on Missouri’s Holocaust Education and Awareness Commission.  His areas of expertise and books address topics in theology; science, the environment, and religion; and inter-religious dialogue.  He earned degrees from Princeton Theological Seminary, Vanderbilt University, and Rikkyo University of Japan, and did graduate work at the University of Leiden in The Netherlands.

Dr. Cain was ordained by The American Baptist Churches, USA and his credentials have been recognized by the Presbyterian Church USA.  He has served as chaplain, theologian-in-residence, and pastor in the United States, The Netherlands, and Indonesia.
