Homecoming King and Queen Crowned at Lander

Homecoming-Queen-and-King-TN.jpgFollowing a week-long celebration of lively competitions and activities, the student body at Lander University has chosen a new Homecoming King and Queen. The pair were crowned during ceremonies held at halftimes of the Lander men's and women's Homecoming Day basketball games against USC Aiken (Feb. 11).

A sophomore, 2017 Homecoming King Brandon Teal, of Cheraw, is a nursing major at the university. Hillary Coursey, of Greenwood, wears the crown of Homecoming Queen. Coursey is a senior majoring in business administration with an emphasis in healthcare management. Both were sponsored by Phi Mu.

The excitement on Saturday (Feb. 11) wrapped up a week of Homecoming celebrations for students and alumni, including Spirit Night, a talent showcase, soapbox race, reunion socials and tailgating.
