Members of ESSOStudent Organization Annual Registration

As we continue to build the Department of Student Life, student organizations are one of our main priorities. Leadership development is vital to the success and sustainability of each Organization on our campus. Below is essential information regarding Student Organizations for the 2021-2022 year. If you should have any questions, don't hesitate to contact the Department of Student Life at

Organization Leadership GPA Requirement:

The GPA requirement for all students in leadership (executive positions) within their Organization is a 2.5 or higher beginning Fall 2021.

Student Organization Field Guide 2021-2022:

We have created a field guide for all student organizations with some vital information. ALL organization presidents, members, and advisors are responsible for the information in both the Student Handbook and the Student Organization Field Guide. Both are provided below.

Facilities Room Requests:

Please make sure to review the information regarding reserving Facilities. All student organizations are expected and required to book ANY room on campus through the Department of Student Life. There will be a one-week freeze, meaning that no rooms will be reserved from Sunday, August 22 through Friday, August 27. Student Organizations will begin submitting room reservation requests on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at 5:00 pm.

Please be aware that meetings requested within the time frame of Thursday, August 26-Tuesday, August 30, may not be reserved. Your confirmation regarding your reservation will be sent ONLY by Elizabeth McCune, the University facilities coordinator.

Organization Election and Executive Board Update:

All organizations (to include Club Sports) should have submitted their information to this form to update our department on your new or current changes. Due to COVID-19, we are aware of several organizations that were not active this year but planned to return this Fall. This form needed to be completed no later than Friday, August 27, 2021, at noon. If an organization does not complete this form, you will be automatically considered inactive. Inactive means the Organization will not be recognized as a student organization will not have the privileges offered by the University (i.e., facilities spaces, participation in Student Life events, etc.). Organizations will need to meet with Dr. Watts to regain their status.

**Any organization that is considered a Fraternity or Sorority does not need to complete this form. Your information has been updated through the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life. If you have any questions regarding this, don't hesitate to get in touch with Demario Watts (

Annual Registration Process and New Updates:

The annual registration process will be different this academic year. We will have a membership audit due in the Fall and the registration of all clubs and organizations during the Spring. This will allow each Organization more time to recruit members to meet the University requirements. I encourage each of you to take advantage of the organization fair, social media, marketing strategies, and tabling during the first six weeks of classes to gain new members.
