group of studentsThe Office of Student Conduct provides services that support the educational and developmental needs of Lander students. By way of educational initiatives and through the processes defined within the Conduct Code, our office strives to create a culture of fairness, integrity, accountability and good citizenship. As emphasized in the Bearcat Creed of Community Values, such ideals will ideally establish a solid foundation for personal growth that extends far beyond one’s undergraduate experience.

Civility Champion Award

Please consider nominating a student that models the characteristics described within the Bearcat Creed. We have many outstanding students and want them to be recognized for their commitment to civility and citizenship on Lander's campus. Upon review of this submission, nominees will receive a certificate of recognition. At the close of the academic year, the co-curricular committee will select one nominee to receive the Civility Champion Award, which will be presented during the Student Life Banquet. The Bearcat Creed

Embracing Civility, Community, and Citizenship

As a member of the Lander University community, I pledge to uphold the following ideals. I will:

•             Strive to maintain the standards of academic integrity and personal character.

•             Exemplify respect for all persons and discourage prejudice.

•             Value diverse opinions and encourage collaboration.

•             Be mindful of how words and actions can impact others.

•             Express genuine concern for individuals through acts of kindness and compassion.

These values are the basis of good citizenship and will serve as the foundation of my college experience and beyond.
