The Lander Players club provides an opportunity for students to be involved with theatre in every capacity – a concept we call the “Theatre Experience.” The “Theatre Experience” provides an outlet for: Exploring all avenues of theatre production, including acting, directing, stage management, technical production, costume and make-up design, stage craft, and theatre business (fundraising, ticket sales, Box Office Management, public relations, and promotions). Students are encouraged to explore their creativity and find their perfect niche. Experiencing professional theatre productions at regional theatres. Past events have been attended at the Peace Center, Greenwood Community Theatre, Abbeville Opera House, and Greenville Little Theatre. Learning about different theatre concepts such as costume design and sewing, theatrical makeup application, lighting and sound design, set construction, musical theatre, and stage acting through educational workshops.
