Governor McMaster and Higher Education Leaders Call for More Need-Based Student Funding

Lander University President Richard Cosentino was one of several South Carolina college and university presidents and higher education professionals in attendance Wednesday, Feb. 17, at the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education’s press conference calling for more need-based student funding. South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster and the Commission noted that they look forward to working with the General Assembly to allocate $80 million in lottery funds to provide need-based grants directly to qualifying students for their post-secondary education.
