Safe Zone Training
October 28, 2020 3:30 p.m. Carnell Learning Center LC 200 FALS Event

Safe Zone is a nationwide training program that educates attendees about the LGBT+ community. Basic terms are defined, appropriate language is explained, and possible reactions to unique interactions with LGBT+ people are explored (e.g., how to be supportive through the coming out process). The training is delivered in an interactive format, requiring attendees to complete activities and discuss with others. (Due to time constraints, this would be an adapted form of the Safe Zone Training, which is permitted by the Safe Zone Project.)

Students seeking FALS credit must provide a valid Lander ID when attending this event.
