Lander University Alumni Association Welcomes Seven New Board Members

AlumniBoard-TN.jpgThe Lander University Alumni Association has announced the recent addition of seven alumni to its board.

With graduation dates spanning nearly five decades, these new board members occupy a wide variety of professions.

"I am delighted to welcome these dedicated alumni to our Alumni Association Board of Directors and thank each of them for continuing their legacies of service to Lander University and the Alumni Association," said Denise Manley '89, executive director of alumni affairs at Lander University. "They each bring unique perspectives and fresh ideas with their steadfast commitment for Lander. They will serve as key leaders as we continue to lay the foundation for alumni engagement and action, in serving our 19,000 alumni here in South Carolina, across the nation, and worldwide."

New members are:

  • Steve Bolton '69 - retired aeronautics professional and resides in Athens, Ala.
  • Harold Crawford '74 - strategic account manager with School Specialty, Inc., and resides in Columbia, S.C.
  • Melanie Price Darley '01 - sales manager for Rainbow Antiques and resides in Greenwood, S.C.
  • Katherine (Kat) Laye Finkbeiner '71 - retired educator and resides in Greenwood, S.C.
  • Dayle Coleman Mumford '93 - vice president with Countybank and resides in Greenwood, S.C.
  • Roderick Houston '10 - student support services coordinator for Lander University and resides in Williamston, S.C.
  • Dan Martins '18 - plant general manager for Teijin Carbon Fibers and resides in Greenwood, S.C.

The Lander Alumni Association was formed in 1885 and is governed by a 30-member board of directors. Its purpose is to foster continued interest among alumni in their alma mater.

All Lander graduates and former students who completed at least 30 semester hours at Lander are members of the association.
