During their June meeting, the Lander Board of Trustees toured the university's expansion into the University Center of Greenville (UCG). The move marks a homecoming for both institutions, as Lander first joined the University Center in 1993. Although still in the process of finalizing Lander degree program offerings for UCG, courses are expected to begin in Fall 2020.

"Higher education is changing, and universities must be ready to adapt to the needs of students. Our return to UCG is an example of us doing that," said Lander President Richard Cosentino. "This is a great opportunity for Lander, in one of our largest recruitment markets in the state. We are growing - both in enrollment and academic programs - and having a presence in Greenville will allow us to continue this growth, even as our Greenwood campus nears capacity."

After touring the new Lander facilities at UCG, Lander trustee vice chairman Cary Corbitt said, "the University Center of Greenville is an impressive facility that allows us to expand our student capacity with undergraduate, online and graduate programs."
