Lander University Computer Students Enjoy Success at Programming Competition

Lander-Computer-Majors-TN.jpgNine Lander University computer information systems majors competed in Mercer University's Spring Programming Contest in Macon, Ga. on Feb. 16. Under the direction of Dr. Gilliean Lee, professor of computing, Lander had one junior team and two senior teams. After the five-hour competition, one of Lander's senior teams ranked 6th out of 13 teams in the small school category. The junior team finished 3rd in the small school junior division. Overall, the Lander teams ranked 3rd among the six others in the small universities division and 1st in the small public universities division.
