Lander University Part of Pilot Program for Portable Chargers

chargerpilot-TN.jpgLander University has been selected to take part in a pilot program for the makers of Oomf smart charging devices. The slim, disk-shaped portable chargers are ideal for students and professors alike whose devices may be on the verge of losing battery power.

"They're as powerful as an outlet charger, but are portable, so students and faculty can charge their devices and stay on-the-go," said Kelly Hughes, technical services manager for Lander's Information Technology department.

The Oomf chargers can power all Apple Lightning and micro-USB smart devices. Users can check out the Oomf chargers from one of four campus locations and can keep them for 24 hours.
