Lander Alumni Career Services Assistance, April 21

Lander University alumni looking for assistance with a career search have an opportunity to get helpful advice and tips from Lander's Career Services staff on Thursday, April 21.

Amanda Morgan, Career Services director, will be at the Lander Foundation and Alumni Center from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. that day to provide alumni with guidance in the following areas:

  • Review resumes, cover letters and reference pages;
  • Assist with writing, reviewing and updating resumes, and tailoring cover letters and resumes to specific positions;
  • Assist with job search techniques, and answer questions on where and how to find open positions for related fields of study; and
  • Assist with interview preparation.

The event is designed for Lander alumni who would like help in creating and updating their resumes and cover letters, and alumni who have questions relating to job searches and effective interview techniques.

To register, alumni should email Amanda Morgan at asmorgan@lander.edu with their names and contact information, as well as the type of assistance needed (i.e., resume help, interview preparation or job search questions). Please also include at least two times of availability on April 21 during the allotted timeframe:

  • 2:15 PM
  • 3:00 PM

Those who sign up will receive an email from Morgan with their assigned appointment time. Alumni who register should bring a copy of their resumes and cover letters (electronic copy preferred, but hard copy is acceptable), along with a pen and paper for notes. For those without resumes, assistance can be provided to create one.
