Students at Lander University will benefit from a new scholarship established by the Greenwood Council of Garden Clubs. Students who are Greenwood County residents and have academic interests in environmental or botanical sciences will be eligible for scholarship awards.

Ralph Patterson, vice president for University Advancement, said,"We appreciate the Greenwood Council of Garden Clubs for all of the great work its members do for Lander University and our students."

Patterson noted the Council has also worked closely with Lander's Arboretum Committee in recent years to beautify the university campus.
