The Greenwood Woman's Club recently held its annual scholarship luncheon at Lander University and presented its yearly scholarship to Lander sophomore theatre major Mary Evans Giles, of Greenwood. Pictured left to right are: Club President Sally Lomax; Giles; and event co-chairs Lynn Johnston and Jacque Woodward. The club's scholarship benefits a Lander student from Greenwood County who demonstrates academic promise and financial need. The scholarship was introduced in 2005, the same year the group donated its clubhouse, now Cambridge Hall, to Lander.
