Lander University Business Students Receive Dunlap Scholarships

DunlapScholarshipWinners2010-TN.jpgThree Lander University business administration majors have been selected to receive the R. Thornwell Dunlap Jr. Scholarship. The scholarship was established in 1997 in honor of Dunlap, who once served as president of The Lander Foundation. A member of numerous civic, health care and church organizations, Dunlap also served as president and CEO of Countybank and as chairman of the bank board of directors. The Dunlap scholarship is awarded to Greenwood County residents majoring in business administration, and recipients are selected based on criteria including character, academic record and recommendation by high school or college teachers. Pictured, from left, are scholarship recipients Brian Kidd of Bradley and Michael White of Greenwood, both majors in business administration with accounting emphasis, and Dr. Charles Stowe, with Lander's College of Business and Public Affairs. Also receiving the scholarship, but not pictured, is Lindsey Fox of Greenwood, a major in business administration with accounting emphasis.
